You guys. I know I shouldn’t have favorites, but I have a lot of them… and this was one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE sessions!!! The day, the light, and mostly – this family!!! I’m so excited to (finally) share more of this session!

We met up in the area near Huntington Playhouse first. I loved getting some fun ones of them together on the fence to start out with. Then we all jumped it and went into this large grassy area.

One thing that I LOVED about photographing this family and something that you will notice throughout is how they were themselves. My favorite photos are the ones where they are NOT looking at the camera, but interacting with each other and just having fun!!!

They genuinely enjoyed their time spent together during their session. Some of the photos also look like they were exploring together and just making new memories. I couldn’t be more about photographing that!

After hanging around the area near Huntington Playhouse we decided to head over to Huntington Beach, one of my favorite spots!

It was such a beautiful night! I love sessions that take place during the (magical) Golden Hour!

One of my favorite things about the photo above is not only the light and this couple’s connection, but also having their kids playing in the background! I could tell that they have a seriously strong marriage with they way they were loving on each other and their (FOUR) kiddos!

I know I just mentioned this above, but I love how their family plays and explores together! Any family who is up for fun and adventure during a session is a family I want to work with!!!!!!!!! (yes that many explanation marks is needed)

So, wrapping it all up, this was clearly a favorite (among many) family session! The beautiful golden hour light, the way they let me document and do my favorite type of lifestyle photography, and the way they let me capture their true selves together are all just a few of the reasons why!
