Cleveland Photographer: Bay Village Smith Family Outdoor Home Session

I am so excited to share one of my favorite family sessions with you!! This session is from last summer, but I have wanted to blog it and share all my favorites (I mean A LOT of favorites, you may be scrolling for a long time)! One thing I love about this outdoor home session is that we didn’t go anywhere – we simple went right to their backyard! …and the front yard and the sidewalk and the court that they live on in Bay Village.

Being a Cleveland lifestyle and documentary family photographer in means I get to have a lot of fun with families. I get to capture the moments as they come. A couple of fun things that you’ll see when you start scrolling through the images: the family together (in different arrangements), super fun images featuring their love of their dog, Bea. You’ll also see a lot of playing in the backyard, A LOT of trampoline images (if you have a trampoline I am pretty much begging you to book me as your photographer, those images are so much fun), as well as some sweet images of the kiddos riding their bikes around in their court.

One of the reasons I loved photographing this family so much is that they just had fun! This family wasn’t trying to look at the camera for every image. They weren’t trying to be perfect. Everyone was being themselves while they were in the moment together. What more could I ask for? Seriously, thank you Smith Family for being so amazing and having the best time together. It brought me great joy to photograph you all in this way!

Why have an Outdoor Home Session?

Before you start checking out all of the images below I want to encourage you to consider an outdoor home session. There are so many perks to a session like this. You don’t need to rush around, get the kids in the car, pack up all the extra things if you’re staying home. When you’re at home you have everything you need right with you. Someone needs a new outfit? You’ve got it there and you also have a lot of options. A kiddo needs a snack? You also have those!

Another reason I love home photography sessions – indoor and outdoor alike is because you are in the place you’re already living. You know how to have fun in these spaces. You know how to relax there. I love capturing memories of clients in their home, the place that is already full of memories.
