I first have to start off by saying that I adore this family! They are so sweet and fun and laid back, and I really appreciate that. They also have a beautiful style in their clothing and their home which is always nice to photograph. I was able to take this sweet boy’s newborn photos and I loved going back again to their home in Rocky River for a one year old + family photography session. Some of my favorite images from this session include this little guy taking steps to Mom or Dad, him in his crib (I have images of him in his crib as a newborn as well and loved comparing the two), the photos of his Mom wearing him with her sling outside their home, how he holds onto his parents hands right now (the details of that), of course the images with their dog there, and just any sweet cuddly happy moments!
One Year old sessions are so important because your baby one turns one only once and it is such a milestone – not only for them, but for you as parents as well (you made it through the first year)!! I have done these types of photography sessions outdoors around Cleveland as well as inside and I think it’s really up to the family in how they want to document this time. I am here to capture the moments, but also all of the details as well. I think if the session is at home, which inside and outside of the home can be a great place for something like this, it’s important to include the details that are important to the child and family as well – this could mean a lovey, favorite blanket or toy, parents reading their favorite book to them, but also their hands, feet, hair, special things in their room, etc. But again, I have done one year old photography sessions outdoors around Cleveland and have captured so many sweet details that way as well.
