I am so excited to share the Krysa family session! I loved meeting this family and getting to do an in-home lifestyle newborn session for them – this was actually captured during the two years our family lived in North Carolina, but the love and the moments are timeless and I am so proud to share them here as I now bring my Cleveland Ohio newborn photography back home to the west side. It is always such an honor when someone lets me into their life to photograph these fleeting and precious moments!

Siblings Matter!

I usually start a newborn session by getting to know the older siblings first. I know this is a time when they may not feel like they are getting as much attention and I always want them to know this session is just as much about them as the new baby. The first photographs I took during this session were of the older brother in his playroom – we got to know each other and he warmed up quickly and loved the attention! When the baby needed some time to nurse I got some of Mom doing that while Dad and big brother brought books into the bedroom to read together. That mirror shot of Mom nursing while Dad and brother read in the reflection is one of my absolute favorite images I have ever taken!

Cleveland Ohio Newborn Photography – Family Moments

It is always so important to get the whole family together for any session that involves a newborn. Below are some of my favorites of all four of them! When we did the shots together in the nursery big brother climbed RIGHT UP into that crib – it was hilarious and I am so glad I captured it! The image of Mom and Dad laughing while he laid down in the crib is everything. This is exactly what lifestyle photography is all about!

Mama and Her Pride and Joy

The images from a newborn session are for everyone but let’s be real – they are very much for Mom! Babies do not keep and it is so important to have these images to look back on. I also want to take this moment to remind ALL Moms – whether you have a newborn or your kid is 50 years old – please get in the frame with them. You and your children will forever be grateful to have those images. Photography sessions are for every kind of family!

Don’t forget Dad

Of course it is so important to get images with baby and Dad as well! These will be cherished forever. In this case it was Dad and his brand new baby girl who had just made him a Girl Dad! So many favorites with this pair that it is hard to choose which ones to share!

Can’t Forget the Newborn!

I always get images of the baby alone too. There are so many details to capture – baby’s feet, her tiny hands, the hair on her head. This little one still had her belly button clip on and I love that I captured that detail too! Babies do not keep so it is so important to document everything you can in those first days!
