I am so excited to share this maternity session! This one took place right here in Cleveland at the East 9th Street Pier and it is just stunning. As a Cleveland lifestyle maternity photographer I am always looking for locations that bring something special to a session – and this one had everything. City skyline on one side, Lake Erie on the other, and that gorgeous Cleveland sign right in the middle. It is such a special time to capture and these two made it so easy and so fun!

This Lifestyle Maternity Photography Session

We decided the pier was the perfect spot and honestly I think it delivered in every single way! It was a beautiful sunny day and we started a bit before sunset and finished just after. I love working with expecting couples – they are always so giddy and excited about the baby coming! These are actually dear friends of mine so we were ready to have the best time together from the very start. We did a lot of laughing and they did a lot of cuddling and kissing. I am so glad I was able to capture so many joyous moments for this sweet family!

Location, Variety, & Details

Exploring the pier was so great and there were so many spots for beautiful photos! The Cleveland sign is such a hot spot and of course we had to use it. I loved getting a real variety of images for them – with the city on one side and the water on the other this location had so much to offer. I took some close up, some far away, and some of just Mama on her own as well. There is something so special about an image of just an expecting Mama by herself – a keepsake that is just hers. Pregnancy is such a short time in your life and it is so important to capture the moments of it while you can!

Cleveland Lifestyle Maternity Photographer – Timing Tips

Here are a few tips for planning your Cleveland lifestyle maternity photography session! One important thing is to not schedule too close to your due date. You do not want to worry about an early delivery or feeling super uncomfortable. I like to schedule sessions at least a month and a half before the due date – that way your bump is beautiful and showing but you are still comfortable. You also do not want to be stressing about this when you are nearly ready to meet your baby!
