It is around the Fourth of July and that means summer celebrations!! This is such a great opportunity to add a photography session right into the festivities – and this one was SO much fun. As a Cleveland lifestyle photographer I am always happy to go wherever the story takes me, and this one took me straight to a fair in Bay Village!

Why Document During The Holidays?
There are so many great reasons to book a photography session during the holidays! First, you typically already have plans to hang with extended family which saves the time of trying to schedule something separately. Second, you may already have fun and festive outfits ready to go – one less thing to worry about! Third, it is about time you had a family tradition documented. Not only do you already know what to expect but you know you are going to have fun! And the images make for incredible photo books and prints – which means Christmas gifts, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day gifts, and birthday gifts are already taken care of. This is especially true if you have an extended family session involved!

Cleveland Lifestyle Photographer – Sessions Should Be FUN!
Family sessions and extended family sessions are meant to be FUN!!! Think about the traditions that take place for your family over the years. It could be something as exciting as an extended family weekend away or as simple as going to an ice cream shop every summer – though my kids would argue both of those are equally exciting! These sessions could be picking out your Christmas tree, going fishing, swimming in your pool, baking something special, going to a fair… the beauty is that each session is completely unique because every family has their own traditions. As a Cleveland lifestyle photographer I absolutely love when families bring something real and special to their session!

This Fun Family Session
This session started with extended family photos – everyone was coming to Bay Village to celebrate the Fourth of July together! After that I focused on the family of three I was originally there for. We started with some photos of them in the field and then walked over to the fair nearby. From what I understand it was their little guy’s first time there! He was still pretty small so no rides just yet, but he had so much fun taking in all the sights and sounds. The colors and the joy from that fair just came together so beautifully in the images. One of those sessions I will not forget!

Such a fun session! Love the fair images. I took my kids to the fair once for a photo session and it was one of my favorites. We were actually there the day before it opened so I didn’t have to worry about them getting angry that we weren’t there to have fun. lol
