Cleveland headshots for a brand new business – does it get any more exciting than that?! I had the absolute best time with Madison and I am so thrilled to finally share her session on the blog. After ten years in corporate America she decided it was time to do something for herself – launching a business to support other small business owners with administrative tasks on an ad hoc and hourly basis. Honestly the world needs more of this! Mindy Kaling’s book “Why Not Me” was part of her inspiration for taking the leap – and I just love that so much. Why NOT you, Madison?!

Cleveland Headshots at The Village Studio
We used The Village Studio at Common Company Studios in Avon for this session and I absolutely love this space. The light in there is just incredible. Multiple setups to work with means so much variety in a single session! Additionally I am completely obsessed with all of the plants – and they are REAL which makes such a difference. Shooting through the greenery adds the most beautiful layers to images and gives everything such a lush organic feel. Furthermore those multiple setups meant Madison walked away with SO many different looks even from a shorter session. Her website, social media, branding materials, and more – all covered from one session!

Cleveland Headshots – Madison’s Vision
Madison wanted her session to feel easy, effortless, and fun. So that is exactly what we went for! Ten years in corporate America meant it was really important that these images felt like HER. Not stiff, not overly formal, not the kind of headshots from a company directory page from 2005. Instead we got images that feel warm, approachable, and genuinely like the person she is. Honestly my favorite kind of session to shoot – the kind where someone walks out feeling like themselves in front of a camera!
Madison was also kind enough to leave a review after her session and it honestly made my whole day. “She is friendly, relaxed, and was very generous with her time!” she wrote – and hearing that is honestly the goal every single time!

A Little Something Extra
Before we wrapped up I also took one film image outside – something I always love doing when the opportunity presents itself. Converting it to black and white also felt like the perfect choice. Color film images convert to black and white so effortlessly beautifully every time! There is something about film frames that just adds a layer of meaning to a gallery. Be sure to scroll to the very end of the gallery to find it in color and black and white! Check out more of my Cleveland film photography work and also see more film photography sessions on the blog!
Also I just have to say – Madison is going to absolutely crush it with this new business. The energy she brought to this session is the same energy she will bring to every client she works with. Small business owners who need administrative support should definitely go check her out!
