I have been meaning to share this session for so long!! This was a 2019 summer session and boy did we have fun! I met the George family a few years ago and although they live in Iowa, they have family and friends in Cleveland and this is the second family photography session I’ve been able to do with them! They are a fun, laid back, and gorgeous family of good people and I always enjoy working with them.

During our first session I only knew their son, Hugo (yes this is the cutest name, is it not?), but since then they had a beautiful little girl, Gemma! I’m so glad I was able to their new addition and spend time with them during their session. The mama in this family, Leigha, is an artist and suggested doing their sessions around murals. I immediately loved this idea and was really excited about it!

I know there are insanely awesome murals all over Cleveland, but we focused on using the murals that are around Ohio City. This made it a bit of an adventure for us as we walked around and I found some I never even knew existed!! We also found really cool brick walls and beautifully painted over brick buildings to use as backdrops as well. Not only did this give us a ton of options for color and backgrounds, but it gave their images a really cool urban city vibe as well.

The images came out so fun and FULL OF COLOR!!! If you love hanging color up on your walls at home I highly suggest doing a photography session around the murals in Cleveland (or your own town)!
