What a special session! I was in on the surprise that Audra would be proposing to Leah during the session so it was definitely different than what I was used to! Audra did an amazing job of working it out so that Leah had no idea what was planned. Leah is the one who set up the half hour session and Audra (obviously) agreed to do it with her. The photos above are during the beginning of the session. It was a beautiful fall day, but so chilly!!! Which I’m always okay with because that means the couple, family, etc. that I’m photographing will snuggle in that much closer. Rocky River Park was such a great location for the day!

Toward the end of what Leah thought was only a half hour session (Audra actually planned a whole hour session with me before Leah even scheduled it) Audra had to run out to get her laptop to show me (really Leah) something. Audra had made Leah a video of family and friends to be a part of her proposal. Leah was obviously so surprised and of course, said “YES!” I loved getting to capture the moment for them and even the moments right before and after the proposal! What a treat for me!

Audra also set it up that some of Leah’s family and friends would be there right after the proposal so it was fun to capture a few photos of everyone congratulating them as well! I loved getting some of these sweet moments that she shared with her parents, sister, grandmother, and friends as well. They had a quick celebration (and toast) on the beach and then Leah and Audra continued on with the rest of their session – once we told Leah there was more time of course. Since we had already taken a lot of photos down on the beach we climbed the stairs up to the scenic overlook area overlooking Lake Erie. It was a great location and I’m glad I got to take more of them right after their special moment! I’m so happy and excited for this couple! Congratulations again Leah and Audra and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day!!!
