What a wonderful time it was seeing this beautiful family again! They are one of my clients who usually let me do whatever for the most part. They also let me capture their kids just being themselves (or maybe even showing off a little bit because I’m there). I just love being around them and always have fun when I’m there and get some of my favorite family photos.

Last time I photographed them it was only two years ago and they were living in a gorgeous brand new home… since then they moved to a lovely old farm house that they have been in the process of renovating. The character in this home is just insane and they have done so well bringing it out as well as making it look modern and clean. I wanted to photograph in as many rooms as I could because of how great their new home looks. We used both of the children’s bedrooms for special pictures of them, their family room where they snuggled up on the couch, the living room that has the most amazing shelves (where I also got to see images from their last session framed and displayed so beautifully), their kitchen with the biggest island I’ve ever seen, and of course we did a few outside on the front wrap around porch and in front of large red barn.

My FAVORITE thing about this session is again, they let me capture their moments. For the most part, I let them do what they wanted to do and they let me do what I do. There are many lifestyle photos but lots of documentary images as well during the in between moments of getting shoes on or grabbing a new book from the shelf.
