Typically I do more lifestyle sessions with small businesses and brands but this one is a little different! This client is one of the most professional businesses I have worked with and it was important to keep their Cleveland business headshot session polished and consistent with their brand. As a Cleveland business headshot photographer I always match my approach to the style of the business I am working with – and this one called for clean, professional, and sharp!

Cleveland Business Headshot Photographer – How I Approach Office Sessions

I wanted to stay true to this company and keep things on the professional side. Because of that I suggested we do the session right at their actual office. I do not use backdrops or flash for my work – I want the images to truly show what it is like where these people actually work every day. When I arrived I met everyone and got a tour of the space. Lucky for me their office had amazing natural light which made everything so much easier!

What Spaces To Use for Cleveland Business Headshots

Some team members had their own individual offices but the light varied quite a bit between spaces. I decided to set up two consistent spots to photograph each person – one at their conference table inside and one right outside the building in the shade. Using just two areas also meant no one had to tidy up multiple spaces which made the whole process so much quicker and easier for everyone. Having two image options per person is always better than one – they can each choose their favorite or use both in different places on their website and social media!

The Session – And a Surprise Visitor!

I really enjoyed my time with these wonderful people! Capturing them in their workplace and hanging out in between shots was genuinely so fun. I also have to mention – we got a great group shot at the end and had a surprise visitor when one of their little ones came by! I absolutely had to get a shot of her in the business chair too. She was so sweet and we all got a really good laugh out of it. You will see it at the end of the post!
