Living near a lake brings upon so many opportunities for families. You can swim, play in the sand, kayak, boat, and of course have a photography session done there! As a Bay Village Family Photographer, I absolutely love using the Lake as a location for sessions. It works well for families, couples, seniors, branding, and more. I’m so excited to share a really fun family lake session today!

Lake Lifestyle Photography Sessions

We had a beautiful day in May for this session, however we also had full sun. An important thing when being at the lake in full sun is to either shoot right at sunrise or sunset. In this case, we decided to go with sunset. However, the sun was still giving off some pretty harsh light so we started above the beach in the greenery area. This spot was perfect and had such beautiful light! As your Bay Village Family Photographer, I will be sure we schedule your session for the best possible time. I’ll be sure you get the prettiest and most flattering light!

This Lifestyle Family Session

This family was so sweet. I could tell it might take a moment for their son to warm up to me. I talked with his mom in advance and we planned on him bringing some of his lego creations to get a photo with (see above). Taking photos of children with toys or creations they is one of the ways I get them to feel comfortable with me right off the bat. You could see how much he loved showing them off and what joy it brought him to get to have those as a part of the session.

Lake Sessions Bring The Fun

A Lake Session was a great location for these nature lovers! They were hoping for a relaxed family session, which I am also all about. I was able to get beautiful shots of all kinds. We did some as a family, broke off into pairs of mom/son, dad/son, and mom/dad. This couple was celebrating their tenth anniversary so I really loved getting shots of just the two of them. Overall, we smiled, laughed, splashed, got dirty, and had a lot of fun together!
