FINALLY I am sharing one of my favorite sessions from 2021! As a Fairview Park Family Photographer I always love family lifestyle photography! There are so many favorite photographs from our time together so I am warning you ahead of time. You may do a lot of scrolling in this blog. You’re just going to have to deal and enjoy!

Cleveland Lifestyle Family Photographer

Let me start off by saying I have always had wonderful sessions with this family. Their first session was a sunrise session. We met in a field and there was this gorgeous fog and the way the light was hitting it was incredible! Check it out here: Metropark Sunrise Fog Lifestyle Session. This session was also sunrise and also in the Metropark, but a different location. It said 0% chance of rain that morning so we thought we would stay dry… boy were we wrong!

Always Start Off Playing & Exploring

We arrived to the Metropark location and even though it was cloudy, I knew I could still work with that. I was bummed we wouldn’t get to see or use any pretty golden hour light during the sunrise, but we were there and ready so we went with it! We started out by doing a little playing and exploring. That seems to work well with families of young kiddos. They typically want to explore and this location was great for throwing rocks into the river! It was the perfect activity for me to capture while the kiddos warmed up. Little did we know, the unpredicted and unexpected rain rolled in rather quickly!

It’s All About Your Mindset

Little did we know, the unpredicted and unexpected rain rolled in rather quickly. I can see in my photos when the boys start to notice… one liked it a bit more than the other in the beginning. As a Fairview Park Family Photographer I honestly wasn’t sure if we were going to have to run to the cars and reschedule. Lucky for me, this family rolled with it. I can’t say how amazing I think that is!! Some people would be worried about their clothes getting wet, hair getting soaked, makeup ruined, etc. That was not this family. They EMBRACED the rain! They knew we were all there so I could capture memories made and that is exactly what happened! The best part of this was that some of my all time favorite family photos came from this session – in the rain!
